Job Description :

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Developing Business and achieving targets:

  •      Exploring the market and identifying potential exports customers for Sarjak products and services.
  •     Regularly meeting the existing as well as potential customers and continuously promoting special features and unique advantages of using Sarjak products and services.
  •     Providing precise sales and inventory forecast to keep other teams ready to serve the customers on time.
  •     Focusing on existing clients to retain their steady volume of business with us while attempting for achieving maximum share of their business for Sarjak.
  •     Keeping oneself updated on emerging customer requirements, new leads, competitor moves, business lost to competitors, reasons and  resolving these issues with the help from BDM S&M India.
  •     Building strong relationships with the high value accounts (existing /potential) to enhance the revenue consistently
  •    Periodically assessing target v/s actual performance and seek timey advice/support of BDM S&M India for target achievement

Coordination for Business Execution:

  • Ensuring timely pricing decisions, rate negotiations and approvals from pricing department so as to convert maximum leads in sales bookings.
  • Coordinating with Operations and ensuring timely completion of tasks such as Liner DO, equipment pickup, form-13, container gate-in etc.
  • Coordinating and supporting documentation team to ensure that documents are completed as per the shipping procedures with accuracy and within minimum time.
  • Owning responsibility of successful execution of the business transaction there by avoiding instances of delays and cost implications for both Sarjak and its customers.
  • Communicating with customers to answer their queries and updating them on the progress of the shipment.
  • Ensuring to stay connected on with  customers to get their feedback periodically and improving on such aspects under guidance from BDM S&M India and other internal teams.

Reporting and MIS Compliances: 

Preparing and submitting reports as per the Sarjak's Policies with details related to:

  • Monthly lead generation and booking from region
  • Booking projections and required Inventory projections
  • Sales visit updates/ customer feedback
  • Market intelligence/competition analysis reports
  • Team Reporting and discuss strategies
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Competency Requirement

Educational Qualifications/Exp:

 Graduate or post-graduate with technical qualification and around 3 to 7 years’ experience

Technical/ Functional Knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of the shipping procedures and documentation, Technical knowledge about ODC / Project Cargo Management is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS office and exposure to working in Sales and Customer service will be preferred.

Special physical, psychological and work life balance demands of the role if any:

The role requires 24x7 customer support for updates and problem solving of shipment transactions. Requires high degree of resilience to handle mental pressure arising from solving operational issues at odd hours  (ODC permissions, shipments getting stuck, mid night container pick-ups etc.). The role involves continuous coordination with internal and external teams/stakeholders to get the job done in situations of intense time pressure.
