Job Description:
Role: Manager Research & Strategy
The overall objective of the role is to be able to drive all aspects of corporate strategic initiatives, propositioning, pre-project planning, and planning and engagement delivery, including engagement risk and financial management activities across the company. The Manager Research & Strategy will work closely with the internal stakeholders to lend support and guidance to sector, market, trends, and other similar research. The Manager will report directly to the Director and will also liaise with senior management directly contributing to or managing research goals, planning, design, analysis, reporting, and distribution. The Manager Research & Strategy will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct extensive market research, data analysis, financial analysis, return on investment (ROI) assessments, and cost analysis of various projects.
• Develop data collection practices and monitors uniform data collection and quality across the organization. Maintain links and collaborate where possible with other external data collection, and evaluation.
• Manage complex scheduling and calendar for the Director, including meeting agendas, calls, and company logistics.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with all directors and Heads of Departments (HODs). Attend meetings, take Minutes of Meetings, track actionable tasks, and highlight tasks that lack the necessary progress.
• Management of content and flow of information from Director to senior management, maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
• Work closely and effectively with the Director to ensure they are well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities and follow up appropriately.
• Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously and proactively, and ensure the successful completion of projects, often under deadline pressures.
• Plan, implement, and manage proposed recommendations and projects, while monitoring and reporting on project progress and overall project management.
• Serve as a resource across the organization to enhance broad cohesion for strategic plans.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Master’s degree in business management.
• 7+ years of experience post qualification.
• Strong Project Management skills. Managed multiple projects simultaneously and appropriately prioritize meeting business deadlines.
• Exceptional Presentation and Excel skills.
• Should have collaborated cross-functionally and worked closely with leaders from other internal teams.
• Should have background in Research and Financial Planning & Management
